Antica Trattoria Vigna

The tables outside, set spaciously in de lawn provide an environment that inspires a calm and pleasant stay (although the tables inside were quite beautiful as well). Water mist helps and shadow from umbrellas or overhanging grapes help to bring some coolness. The service is friendly, naking up for some minor misses. The menu shows all kind of local specialties providing something quite different. Some of these local specialties have been evolved into new dishes making it all very interesting. I frankly would love to work (eat) through the whole list. We had a first. My wife had the Cjarsons, a specialty of the more northern region (Carnia) which were very good. I had raviolini on a pesto of pistache which was very tasteful. Given the heat and our qish to stay light we picked a starter for our main course. The stuffed fiori di zucca was definitely a great choice. It looked and tasted delicious. We closed of with a refreshing sorbette (mango for my wife, mellon for me). All in all a great lunch, even if the heat was not inviting for it. We will be back for more.

Trattoria Vinja must be one of the best restaurants in the region! The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and give you an unforgetable evening and the chef prepares picture perfect dishes worthy of a star restaurant! This is a place you want to come back to again and again! I definitely can't wait for the next visit! Bravo!!!
